Development is underway for the Magpie Pictures children's series Grace Beside Me, adapted from the novel by Sue McPherson.

NITV, Screen Australia, ACTF, Screen NSW and Screen Queensland have all invested in the development of the 13 x 26 minute series for 8 - 12 year olds. Its the story of 13-year-old Fuzzy Mac, an extraordinary girl trying to lead an ordinary life, growing up with her Nan and Pop and best mate Tui in a small Australian country town. Lois Randall and Dena Curtis are producers, with writers Jon Bell, Danielle MacLean and Sue McPherson and Gina Roncoli as story editor.
