THE HIVE - TV drama in development, adapted from the novel The World Without Us by Mireille Juchau

THE HIVE is a 6 x 1hr Drama Series

Adapted from Mireille Juchau’s award winning novel The World Without Us, THE HIVE is an intense, vivid drama of secrets and survival, family and community, loss and renewal, tightly coiled within a double mystery.

When Evangeline Müller’s husband finds human bones in the hills behind their honey farm, on land that once belonged to a utopian commune called The Hive, he doesn’t tell her. He’s afraid to know who the bones belong to, how they died, and how his wife might be connected to a mystery locked deep in her amnesia, containing old secrets and shames that could threaten their already fragile family.

The waxy scars on Evangeline’s back from the fire that destroyed The Hive have healed. But the questions of what happened there still hang over the community. And Evangeline is not the only one who doesn’t want the answers to surface.

Producers: Lois Randall, Rebecca Ingram, Rhoda Roberts

Writers: Angela Betzien, Blake Ayshford

A Magpie Pictures Production

Development supported by Screen Australia and Screen NSW.
