LOVE ME TENDER is a Feature Film now financing – a romantic and deeply moving story of survival and resilience as we followIndigenous teenager Jack Watson and his younger sister Chris on their quest to find their place in an adult world of the 1960’s. Their struggle to emerge from the fear and shadows of their parent’s tempestuous marriage culminates in them driving their increasingly violent father Bill – at gunpoint – to disappear from their lives. Years later, when their mother Betty has a near fatal accident and is hospitalised, the siblings agree to honour her wish - to bring Bill home. But where the hell is he? They journey across the land to find him back on the Charleville tent boxing circuit…. but unbeknown to Chris, Jack has other plans for their father.
